CLEAR SKIN, THE POWER OF VISUALISING
Visualising Clear Skin.
This technique has to be tried, to be believed.
When you next wash your face (preferably with a mild, organic plant-based face wash or face oil), close your eyes and envision smooth skin, move both your hands in a soft circular motion across your face, visualise any bumps that you might feel to smooth out, see yourself with radiant, smooth, glowing skin. You need to get to a point where you really feel the smooth skin, if a bump distracts you, let it go and try to hold the visualisation again. Once you have seen, and felt your face glowing with smooth, vibrant skin rinse off your face wash, splash your face with cold water and gently pat dry. Hold onto your visualisation for as long as possible.
Where attention goes, energy flows, if you're experiencing a break out you do yourself more harm by focusing on it, let it go, knowing that it will heal if you will it to do so. Most of us have all been there on some scale, and everyone has different things to heal, so there is no need to feel any shame or embarrassment, direct your thoughts (and therefore emotions) onto healing.
Team this practice with eating less sugar (no refined sugar even better), more purified water (tap water generally contains chlorine which disturbs our gut bacteria, which effects the condition of our entire body, especially our digestive system and skin, I won't get into the harmful effects of synthetic fluoride, a byproduct of the fertilising industry, here, but if you feel inspired please do your own research on it), and watch your skin flourish!
Please note: our skin constantly communicates with us, it is our largest organ, it will let us know when our system is dehydrated, when there is a build up of toxicity in the system, it will show us if it is taking on too much of the elimination process for the body (potentially because the liver or kidneys are weak or have too much to handle already), and it also lets us know when we are thriving. Having excess pimples may be a sign of internal toxicity, your body may be struggling to digest fats, it may be lacking beneficial bacteria, there may be a food source that is triggering the build up of toxicity, your hormones might be out of balance etc. I personally give my body a few days to heal anything it needs to on its own, but if anything becomes persistent then I seek the knowledge of a holistic healer.
The above practice is intended to help heal minor skin blemishes, and is not intended as a cure. Please seek the advice of your chosen health care professional, who should help you find out the root cause (emotional, mental or physical).
