WINTER SOLISTICE + INTENSIFIED EMOTIONS
This is my clarity coming through for anyone who may be experiencing intensified emotions around this time of the Winter Solstice. Winter is our month to go within, to contemplate, to meditate, to spend days being more quiet, more with ourselves, it is our time of year to rest, to follow the guidance of the shorter days and longer nights. It is not a time to fire up all of the artificial lights and push ourselves to create and action as much as we do in the summer months, it is not a time to push ourselves to be overly social (unless of course your heart calls for that), it is our time to go easy on ourselves.
Go easy on ourselves in all possible ways - winter is a time where we may ask ourselves the heavier questions, what is my purpose, what is the point of this life experience, what am I creating in this world, who am I, what do others think of me, how is humanity showing up as a collective etc.
Let me tell you now, first thing to know - there is ALWAYS at least one person thinking about us, even when we feel no one is, when we feel alone, isolated, there is actually at least one person that is, whether it be someone we passed in town, a friend of a friend, a dear friend, a distant friend, relative etc. AT LEAST ONE PERSON IS ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT US, EVEN WHEN WE THINK NO ONE IS! People you cannot even imagine are thinking about you, curious about you, care for your wellbeing, that is just the way life goes, the way human nature is, we are curious beings, and our natural state is love. Even the most unloved feel better when they think thoughts aligned with love and caring. So during these moments of deep contemplation, if you reach a state of feeling alone or isolated, please remind yourself that at least one person is thinking about you right now, and that your presence here on Earth never goes unnoticed.
We never have life all figured out, we may experience moments of clarity and clear direction, but then comes a time where we need to question everything we know, or potentially we have this forced upon us by something big in our world being crashed down (the walls get crashed down so we can build them anew, more inline with the most present evolved version of our being).
Winter Soltice is the epitome of winter and all that the energy that winter brings, it is our shortest day, marking a point of being in the peak of this energy.
If during this time you are experiencing heightened emotions, take it easy, rest more, time spent contemplating what we feel can be powerful, but if we cannot comprehend why we are feeling what we are, the best thing to do is surrender into rest, potentially your being is asking you to rest and recharge without needing to understand what specifically is triggering this need. You may be recalibrating, and in which your body and mind both need more time ‘off-line’ in rest state in order to recharge and renew. If you have been asking about your life purpose and no clear clarity has come through, again rest, one step at a time, breathe and be amongst Nature, simply spend time observing, being present and potentially meditating into your heartspace, the clarity will come in Divine Time.
The rest and gentle inner work/contemplation that we do during winter, simultaneously plants seeds for us that will sprout over spring! There is great power that comes from resting, I feel this is not taught to us in Western Culture, we are guided to continuously work, work, work, hustle, hustle, make that money… sleeping away our days I feel can be a way of hiding away from ourselves, not showing up, but moving slower than the fast pace and extroverted energy of spring and summer can benefit us in more ways that one, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, it recharges us, allows us to harness energy that we then can enjoy exerting during spring and summer.
Rest well and go easy on yourself, your breath and your thoughts at this moment in time are valued beyond comprehension, we are beautiful, we are magic, we are love, and we are all doing our best!
